How get financed for a PHD Thesise

Lots of grants are available : you will find information on the following web site :
  1. French ministry of Research  (décret n° 2009-464 du 23/4/2009) :
  2.  ADEME : L'ADEME is giving each year about 80 grants for PHD thesis. There exists several possible type of grants (click here) generally associated with a small industry and with great technological aspects.
  3. CEA : Student having a Master of Research (M2) who want to perform a PHD thesis in CEA have to contact directly laboratories : usually the deadline is in between march and april.
  4. CIFRE : This type of grant is given for a project between an industry and a research laboratory. It is funded by the ANRT.
  5. CEMAGREF : grants can be co financed by an external partener such as an industry, an other research organization.
  6. CNRS : French National Research Center .
  7. Rhône-Alpes Region  : a cluster llows to have grant that usually associate several laboratories of the region or an industrial and a laboratory. .
  8.  EIFFEL grants : it is funded by the French foreign office and allows to get grant to perform a PHD in a french laboratory..
  9. ANDES : it is a guide that help you to find a grant for a PHD thesis or a post doctoral position. .
  10. MAE : french foreign service
  11. EGIDE : provides grants for the mobility of student and young researcher
  12. ONERA  and CNES  provides both grants in aeronautical and spatial research area.
